Winchester Auto Barn & Drivers’ Club

Winchester Auto Barn & Drivers’ Club is a unique automotive destination celebrating classic vehicles from the 1960s through to the 1980s. Alongside its vintage car workshop, the venue includes a newly built showroom, cafe and music / recording studio, while also offering vehicle storage and hosting regular classic car meets. The mission of Winchester Auto Barn is to create a strong community of like-minded people brought together through their passion for cars.

As part of a new build extension to the existing workshop, LEDextra was appointed to supply a complete new lighting scheme, working closely with Sparx Electrical Systems Ltd and architects D.A Associates. The project required brand new luminaires that would complement both the architecture and the distinctive Winchester Auto Barn brand.

A major focus of the scheme was aesthetics. Dextra produced detailed 3D renders to help the client visualise the final lighting effect prior to manufacture, ensuring confidence in the design. As per the specification, Dextra supplied selected luminaires with custom paint finishes to match the venue’s signature colour, Claret Violet (RAL 4004), allowing the lighting to integrate seamlessly with the interior design. A wireless RAKO lighting control system was specified, providing flexible scene setting and control to suit the wide range of uses within the space.
