Houghton Le Spring Golf Club

Houghton Le Spring Golf Club, based in Tyne and Wear, recently carried out a lighting refurbishment across parts of the clubhouse. The existing lighting had become increasingly difficult to maintain, with older fittings and components proving harder to source as time went on.

Dextra’s proposal was based upon a like-for-like replacement of the existing luminaires, allowing the club to upgrade the lighting without major changes to the layout. The shift to a new LED system has improved reliability while considerably reducing the ongoing maintenance demands. The new lighting also provides a brighter and more consistent level of illumination throughout the space.

Achieving positive energy reductions was a key factor in the decision to upgrade. The projected energy savings helped the club secure funding support from Sunderland City Council, allowing the refurbishment to move forward. Following the installation, the expected energy savings were achieved, giving the club a more efficient and sustainable lighting system for the future.
