Paddy Power
Paddy Power is an Irish gambling company founded in 1988 through the merger of three Irish bookmakers. Its product offering includes sports betting, online casino, online poker, and online bingo. In February 2016, Paddy Power merged with Betfair and in 2018 with Fanduel. Today, Paddy Power operates from over 570 stores across the UK and Ireland as part of Flutter Entertainment plc, which is an international sports betting and gaming operator.
In a drive to upgrade their existing estate we were invited to participate in an LED lighting tender to replace the fluorescent fittings across the sales floor and back of house areas. The brief was to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere for customers whilst reducing energy consumption and on-going maintenance costs. Working closely with the appointed consultants we surveyed a number of locations and following various trials we were awarded a contract to refit over 400 stores across the UK and ROI.
One of the key requirements of the roll out was to create uniform illumination to the TV and Newspaper gantries around the perimeter of the stores and this was achieved through the use of our Axant and AluLED ranges. In addition to this we had to develop a bespoke modular luminaire with deep set cellular optics to minimise glare onto the angled screens of the fixed odds betting terminals.
