Introduction

With multiple housing styles the Runway can be specified for standalone or continuous run layouts in suspended, surface mounted, wall mounted or recessed installations. Where continuous run systems are required these can be configured in any length in 250mm increments and our range includes left or right handed 90° corners allowing the creation of squares, rectangles or diverse linear shapes. Our Runway RGBW offers full colour changing with DALI control for both downlight and bidirectional variants, whilst our Runway RGBU offers a traditional white source downward with DALI controlled RGB colour changing uplight providing colour wash on ceilings whilst ensuring the working area is effectively lit. The Runway RGBW is supplied with an opal diffuser as standard whilst the RGBU is available with either opal or glare compliant microprism diffuser. Both ranges can incorporate infill sections where continuous run luminaires are not required. The Runway RBGW and RGBU are both available with three housing colours, black, white or grey, and two end cap styles giving a square or curved finish.

 These aesthetic choices combine with a broad selection of lumen outputs, a wide range of dimming and integral emergency options as well as integral sensor options offering both presence detection and daylight regulation. All emergency variants come complete with lithium iron phosphate batteries offering extended battery lifetime and warranty. The Runway also offers compatibility with our wireless systems allowing simple wireless grouping of luminaires, sensors and wireless wall switches or broader integration into wireless lighting management systems allowing centralised reporting and monitoring of your installation, minimising ongoing maintenance costs.

Technical

Runway Design Considerations

  • L15, L18, L22, L25 and L30 variants comply with BSEN 12464 3000 candela limit when used with MP diffuser in RGBU variants.
  • Bi-Directional RGBW is available in 1250mm lengths only and should only be used when suspended.
  • Autotest LA3 emergency and DALI Dimming will use common DALI BUS Cable. LA3 emergency can not be combined with other dimming types.
  • Where luminaire lumen and lumen per watt figures are published these relate to the opal diffuser variants in the white channel only.
  • Where colour temperature and rendering are specified in a part code, for example C84, this relates to the white channel.
  • Two suspension kits are required for the first trunking section in the run and one in each consecutive trunking section.
  • Bi-Directional variants have differing spaces between up-light optics between different lengths, care should be taken when they are mixed in the same area to ensure up-light distribution is even. A suspension length of 500mm or greater will result in even light distribution on the ceiling even where trunking lengths differ.
  • Gear trays must be matched to the trunking length, 1000mm, 1250mm, 1500mm, 1750mm and 2000mm trunking will only accept the corresponding sized tray. Use 2X 1500mm trays with 3000mm trunking and 2X 2000mm trays with 4000mm trunking.
  • When using longer trunking lengths please ensure that there is suitable access to the building to allow the trunking to be taken to the installation location.
  • Please note that in sensor variants of the Runway Curve the diffuser is only curved at one end.
  • 1250mm variants can not accommodate sensor or emergency.
  • 1500mm variants can accommodate sensor but not emergency.
  • Emergency can only be offered in 1750mm RGBW variants and can be combined with sensor.
  • Emergency can only be offered in 1750mm and 2000mm RGBU variants and can be combined with sensor.
  • 2000mm variants are only available in RGBU.
  • Corner units can not accommodate emergency.
  • RGBW and RGBU include DALI as standard for all colour channels in all variants.
  • RGBW variants are only available with opal diffusers.
  • Not available with integral sensors or wireless controls.
  • Emergency will only operate white channel.
  • RW INSTALL KIT must be supplied with each continuous run order.
  • Wall mounted versions are only available in downlight and RGBW versions
